hey bloggie... i've jus realise tat i've not been updating my blog as much as i thought i shud... well.. maybe its due to the hectic schedule i practically have everyday.. well.. tats life isnt it..? w/o challenges tat i need to face, it wun be called life...
it'll be more to "i'm-suppose-to-be-dead" thing.. lmao..
lameness aside..
jus gonna write bout' wad i've been doing the past few days...
lets start from. . . .
SATURDAY, dated 24th Feb 2007..
well, it was the exchange day.. BN was the host.. our guests were FTP n St. Gabriel... hmm... BN kick off the exchange by playing 'Safari' n then followed by 'Funiculi Funicula Rhapsody'... it was ok but better... there's always room for improvement guys.. i believe u guys can make it.. believe in the music tat u can create... let it lift ur souls up n hopefully get a hard-earn reward at the end of it.. as an alumni, i'm greatly honoured to see tat u guys are trying ur best...
jus push a little bit further n i'll tell u, there's no word to replace the word "honoured"...
aniways... next up was FTP... they played 'Sunrise' n 'A Jubilant Overture'... well.. i've got no comments.. u guys know where u guys stand... practise practise n practise is all it takes... i'll never stop believing in u guys like how i never stop believing in my BN Band.. the way i treat u peeps is jus the same as how i treat my fellow juniors back at BN.. jus tat my heart forever belongs to BN Band as it was once my band.. thick n thin yadayadayada.. ahaha... so... next up was St. Gabriel's... they played 'Sunrise' n 'Hanover Overture'... well... glad to say tat they did a pretty good job.. but there's alot to improve on... i love the trombonists there... so POWDERFUL [like how rafe wuld say it.. right rafe??].. hahaha! yerp... after tat, broke up for section critique.. not gonna say it here.. cos to me it wasnt tat effective..
moving on. . .
after the exchange ended... went home fer awhile to put my instrument together with idham's... cos did not wan to carry it around.. but wen i got home, there's no one at home... i din bring my keys along as my beg was with OGY... so... went home fer nothing... so travelled back to Techview with the instruments on my back.. then sat there fer like HOURS i tell u... played "BLUFF"... "MURDERER"... "VILLAGER N WEREWOLF"... haha... it was fun ah.. well to me of course... rather than to sit there n do nothing... so yah... got home and slept... tat was the earliset i slept in two months i guess?
moving on. . . .
on SUNDAY had PHILyouth practice... r'cvd two of the 8 scores... 'Poets & Peasants Overture' n 'Folk Song Suite'... the practise was great.. love it... PHILyouth now is much more better than wad it was the last time i got invited to play with them... though the size is small.. we sound good... but as MrGlosz says, "If only i can get u guys to sound BIG"... then it'll sound POWDERFUL.. hahaha... i'm addicted to tat word.. urms.... overall, practice was great.. jus love it... loving it more n more... n yeah... MrGlosz [an angmoh] can speak Malay... cool huh... n FYI... his malay is not those with an ang-moh accent ok... his malay is like how normal malays wuld speak... which is WAY better than how i wuld sound like wen i speak malay.. the convo we had..
Val: Let's eat chicken rice!
Mr Glosz: [he interrupts] huh? chicken rice? chicken rice got halal?
kHai: -__-"... the malay stall one la.
Mr Glosz: oh.. yang stall melayu eh?
kHai: yup.. [thats wen i realised he can speak malay]
kHai: MrGlosz, Idham got sth to ask u.
Mr Glosz: ah. ape dier?
Idham: Mr Glosz, is the BBQ next week halal?
Mr Glosz: Sudah tentu.. mestilah Halal.
i was shocked man... his malay damn MALAY ah.. not like those with slang..
n yah.. there's a BBQ over at MrGlosz's place this coming sunday..
its like a "get-to-know-each-other" session.. looking forward to it..
moving on. . .
on Monday.. followed idham to collect the repaired instruments at windWORKS after tat went down BN to send the instruments.. i had my mini sectionals.. was practicing my tounging.. n tat was it... then went dinner at Bedok's LJS with zi, ogy, idham n yonglin... after tat went home.. [trying to keep it short... its getting wordy..lol]
so there was today... TUESDAY... went down Regent.. taught them.. thru'out the whole sectionals.. i did Jubilant... hmm... great potential but it just needs extra more effort to really do it.. n get the song rite.. FEEL THE MUSIC... haha..
well... CONGRATS on the newborn BARI SAX... haha...
a Yanagisawa Baritone Saxophone made its first cry during sectionals.. haha.. hmm.. must take care of it well ah... it already had its 1st bruise... hmm... haha... then went dinner at Food Culture... then made our way back to BN... they were having night practise.. tot of going there to self pract... but in the end.. din hav the time... so, practically sat n 10mins later, the night practice ended.. aniway.. at least i get to see them... seeing them jus make my day..
so thats all fer now... nothing else to write [not tat i dunwanna... its lengthy already.. i'll save it fer some other time]
before i "OFFICIALLY" end today's entry... lemme say a few things...
bro... take care alrite... rest well n eat ur medicine... drink lots oF PLAIN water.. hope tat u'll get well soon..
