NC-16 CONTENT (OK, MAYBE NOT)
3:06 AM

I had a really bad day today. Not because I was in some ultra mood swing but due to the patrons of ___________ who don't give a shit or are just trying to give us all a hard time. Bear with me alright? High possibility that I am going to use words that are unpleasant. I'll TRY to refrain from using profanities though. This entry, hence the title, will be rated NC-16.

I encountered two bloody idiotic scenarios during work today.
SCENARIO 1
This group of ignorant punk asses and bitches came over to my counter buying six movie tickets in total (you would probably have guessed where I am working now). So, being students, I charged them $6. When I told them that it would $36 in total, they insisted that I should do separate transactions for EACH ticket. I got rather confused. Here's what I could remember:

Me: Alright, so it's 6 tickets to Harry Potter for 5.40pm show ya? That will be $36 please.
Bitch A: Oh, no. Can we pay separately? As in you do one ticket at a time?
Me: Ummmm, can I charge all in one transaction and have you giving me $36 one shot so that it will make your life much easier and hence, less waiting to do?
Bitch A: Oh. But can't you do one ticket at a time?
Idiot C: Yeah! It is just the same as we each queue for one ticket in a row.
Bitch B: Besides, we have no small change. We have like $10 each.

While that was happening, I noticed the queue was getting longer and longer because of the other patrons who wished to purchase their tickets too. I was trying not to lose it and hence I went THEIR way since the customer is always right.

So I did the transaction one by one. And somehow along the way it got rather confusing. They wanted to pay individually. But this pair made it all more confusing.

Try not to get confused along the way.

Person A bought ONE ticket.
Person B paid A for ONE MORE TICKET.
I gave them both the ticket but instead Person C who paid A took B's ticket - when I printed only 2 tickets. I told them, "It would not matter since all of you are sitting together"
And they had this fuss about, "No, I want it to be with him"

I was already fuming mad so I put down the tickets, told them to wait and called my manager to help me out with the ignorant brats. You see, we need to be careful when it comes to the complicating transactions. Because if we're short of money at the end of the day, we are the ones paying for it. If it does not tally with the records the system has, we would have a hard time settling it.

I did not at all mind the one-transaction-at-a-time, but what pisses me off was the way they approached their mode of payment. Why can't they forward $40 and I will give a separate change for it? Makes their life much easier and ultimately MY life much easier. My manager was a little bit afraid of me when she saw me in that pissed off mood.

So KIDS, when you are going to the movies, please bloody THINK and LET US HAVE AN EASIER TIME than to be so bitchy about it and think that our service is bad.

I swore I would have told them off. Well, I did but in a nice way of course.

"Alright, settle ah? To avoid any confusion in future, don't give us a hard time by making us do one ticket at a time and having all of you confusing us with the money and who gets which ticket."

Trust me, the money was in a whole lot of mess. They were even fighting over whose ticket shall be next and the shit continues. Bloody hell. But one good was that they apologized. I replied sincerely, "Nah it's alright, just take note of it next time" <--- I am serious. No bullshit.
Moving on.....
SCENARIO 2
This Malay uncle was 3rd in line on my counter. Do take note that the counter I am serving is only for TICKETING ONLY.

RULE #1: If any customer would want to buy food from the ticketing ONLY counter, we will either direct them to another counter which sells food and drinks OR direct them to our mini-bar.
RULE #2: If there isn't any long queue, we can actually take their order and serve them before the next crowd comes.
RULE #3: If they really insist (during peak hours), we will need to take their order and have it delivered to their seats.

SO, this ignorant uncle was 3rd in line followed by a long queue behind him. When it was his turn, he vomited his order to me like I am some voice-detector machine.

I told him politely, "Sir, this is only for ticketing. Food and beverages can be bought over at counter 3 and 4, or alternatively you can make your purchases at our mini-bar upstairs."
The uncle was in a slight shock and said "Oh, sorry".

After a while, I managed to clear the line and got to my last customer (Customer Z) for that moment. Customer Z wanted to purchase food and drinks. Following RULE #2, I took his order and gave him his food. While scooping the popcorn which is in between counter 3 and 4, the uncle came from nowhere and blasted "YOU SAID YOUR COUNTER IS ONLY FOR TICKETING, why are YOU serving food to them?"

I told him POLITELY, "That is because tadi ade queue panjang. Skarang tak ade queue so I can afford to take food orders" (Translated: That is because there was a long queue just now. Now that there aren't any queue, I can afford to take food orders)

And he bloody hell gave me a disgusted smirk and said "Ah, whatever ah" and gave his order to my colleague on my LEFT.

While scooping the popcorn into the popcorn bag for my customer, I gave comments to my colleague who was standing on my RIGHT in that pissed off tone in front of that idiotic uncle.
SERIOUSLY, THESE KIND OF IGNORANT CUSTOMERS OUGHT TO BE SHOT IN THE HEAD. I have encountered many more strange and "pisses-me-off" situations but I shall leave that for another time. This two scenario particularly ticked me off today badly.

Just so you know, I am a good customer okay. I treat the person serving me like how I would want to be served. And if it was really a bad service they are giving, then I would not go to that extend of trying to be that suck-up-I-am-the-holy-King kind of person.

So PEOPLE, we (at least I am) are always giving our 150% when it comes to customer service. Please be a good customer and stop being obnoxious if you are one. You would not survive a day if you were to be in our shoes; I can bet you.

Alright, I am done for now. And for the record, I like doing customer service because the feeling of being appreciated by the customer and them enjoying my good service has got no price tag to it. It is a good feeling of course! Seeing him or her smile leaving the counter is what I set out to achieve to every customer I attend to.

I better get going.
Ciao!

DUPLI-SHIT-Y
1:50 AM

If you are thinking of watching....

From me to you, DON'T!

I got rather restless in the movie theater within the first 40 minutes into the movie! Firstly, the story line is in an utter mess. Mainly because it keeps moving forward into the future and rewinding back. Secondly, it is not focused. A little twist here and there, I am able to grasp hold of it but it was all too much.

The genre stated for this movie was 'Comedy'. I find nothing comedic about it! The laughs were just for that split second - all because it appeared funny. It was not engaging and I find it a waste of my money to watch this rather clumsy movie. I felt rather insulted to be honest. To the point that I fell asleep in the middle of the movie - maximising the $6 (student price; hehe) used to pay for this undeserving movie.
No doubt, the ending was rather funny, but it was stupid all at the same time. Sheesh!

Hence, my rating for "Duplicity" would be 1 out of 5 stars.
Don't waste your money if you are thinking of watching this any time soon.

Moving on!
I have finally registered for my Year 3 Semester 1 modules. Gotten the timetable and here it is...

(Click for a larger view)

Yup, I have no school on Thursdays (probably gonna utilize that day for work). I will come up with a more rigid timetable consisting of school, work, tutoring and other involvements for me to follow when school resumes.

Looking at the other side of it, I am embarking my Year 3 soon. It felt only yesterday that I embarked my Year 1 in NAFA. All that is on my mind now is to get school over and done with, and then proceed on to serve my country. Hoping that while doing so, I am able to live my dreams and do what I love to do. Crossing my fingers that I will get "thrown" into the army and from there, audition for SAF Band. The rest I will let nature take its course. I really want this to be part of my life.

The late Michael Jackson once said, "They say the sky's the limit, and to me that's really true". And speaking of him, rest in peace dude. The greatest entertainer that ever walked on this face of the Earth, the King of Pop.

I better get going. Need some sleep.

Oh! I have finally got two of my cravings satisfied today.
First it was Tau Huey (w/ Nina and Rene).
Next was East Coast Park's BBQ Chicken Wing (w/ Fauzi, Idham and Nina) <-- FINALLY!

Ok, I'm really done.
Cheers!

QUICKIE
5:21 AM

A quickie before I hit the sack. I just got back from work. Suppose to knock off from work at 1am, but instead it got extended to 3am (closing). Extra 2 hours anyway - no big deal. Of all the slots that I have worked before, I must say that doing closing is the most fun. We get to munch on the leftover popcorns, wedges, crispy chicken and definitely have a free flow of drinks of our choice. On top of the munching, we would need to clean the place of course. And after we're finished with that, free cab ride home sponsored by ___________ <---- The place where I am working.

Working an 8-hour shift [2pm-10pm] later. So I think I better get going before I look like a zombie in front of the customers. And gee, my voice is seriously killing me.

Husky - Definitely.
Sexy - Totally!

Hahaha! Nah, kidding. I am slowly losing my voice. Of having to project it so that the customer understands and are able to hear every single word is just painful. I won't be surprised if eventually, my vocal chords go on a "holiday".

Oh, yes.

Monday: 5pm - 10pm [5 hours]
Tuesday: 12pm - 8pm [8 hours]
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 2pm - 10pm [8 hours]
Friday: 12pm - 8pm [8 hours]
Saturday: 8pm - 3am [7 hours] CLOSING = YAY!
Sunday: 6pm - 12am [6 hours] CLOSING = Double YAY!
For those who wishes to "date" me out, who are missing me dearly, who wants to hang out, I have included my work week schedule for your reference. Just ensure to subtract an hour before I clock in for work, or add 30 minutes after I clock out of work. That will be the time I am free till. Similarly, the time I am free to go. I need time to travel you know.

So much for being a part-timer. Well, at least it is better then waking up each day wondering what to do next. This will keep me occupied and hey, I am earning money at the same time. Looking forward to my first pay day. Gee, I would need more money to get my driving license over and done with. Have to clear it fast because my "membership" will be expiring soon. Then having to register and pay extra money would not be worth the saving up. I am still waiting for money to come in from another party.

I am not money-minded. I don't look at things from money alone. I try to find the dedication and passion to do it and hence, being able to enjoy what I am doing. But clearing my driving license is an EMERGENCY.

Afterall, what belongs to me, belongs to me. True?

Alright, I think I have said too much.
I'm off!

Cheers!

LIVING HEALTHILY
4:47 PM

I was having my lunch in the kitchen when Mom stepped in and started making something. Observing what she was doing, I asked. Apparently, she was making her daily wholesome filled with goodness drink. She tore few pieces of dates into a cup filled with oatmeal and hot water - pretty interesting. It sets me thinking after that. She claimed she will not go hungry fast plus the oatmeal will absorb and lower the cholesterol level.

I am no genius when it comes to healthy living. But somehow, watching the telly everyday, I am greeted with talk shows emphasizing on healthy living. It is a sign! Haha! I am making my stand from this day onwards. Feeling a little inspired after seeing my Mom make her wholesome drink, I will make it a point to have a self-made smoothie each day (or at least till I made the necessary purchases aka ingredients).

From top left hand corner (clockwise): Cornflakes, flax seeds, cocoa powder, honey, dates, oatmeal, banana, mixed berries.

Throw in a handful of ice cubes, the ingredients that complement each other and blend - delicious! The next time Mom heads down to Giant or Mustafa Centre, I am going to ensure that I have the above ingredients to be stored in my fridge or pantry. For now, I will make use of whatever ingredients I have.

Anyway, I figured this would be a great start. Especially when I rarely take my breakfast. Haha! After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Will save up (or get sponsorship from Mom or Dad) to get a flask before school reopens so that if the drink is cold, it will last longer. Apart from healthy living, this will probably help me with saving up.

Saying is one thing. Implementing it is another.
I'll try my best though!

Cheers!

MOVIE REVIEW: TRANSFORMERS 2
5:22 PM

Date watched:
June 25th, 2009
Where? Cathay @ E!hub Downtown East
Movie-buds: Amina, Hakim, Nina, Syahmi, Su'aidah

Disclaimer: MAY contain spoilers

Wooohoo! Finally the movie that I have been anticipating all along made its debut in the theatres! I have one word to describe 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' - AWESOME! This 150 minutes movie is action-packed and tragicomical all in one!

STORY-LINE
The sequel to the first Transformers live action movie sets within the same era, two years later. The Autobots joined forces to protect the humans from the Decepticons. The Decepticons were still on the hunt for Sam Witwicky (played by Shia LeBouf) who has the map to the Matrix of Leadership. The Matrix is the key used to power the Sun Harvester.

Soundwave, a Decepticon intelligence officer, hacks into the satellite to eavesdrop on the NEST forces, learning the location of the dead Decepticon leader, Megatron and another piece to the AllSpark - which is used to resurrect Megatron.

Sam Witwicky leaves for college and are forced to abandon his Autobot guardian, Bumblebee. It is kinda cute to see Bumblebee trying to hold his tears and ended up gushing out litres of vehicle-water. He also had to leave his hot girlfriend, Mikaela Banes (played by Megan Fox). While in college he met his roommate, Leo Spits, who runs an alien conspiracy website. Alice, a human pretender from the Decepticons was going after Sam because of the AllSpark knowledge Sam has.

>> FAST FORWARD >>

Sam finally got captured by Grindor. In a deserted warehouse, Sam came face-to-face with Megatron, together with the Decepticon doctor, Scalpel. Just as Scalpel was about the remove Sam's brains, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee came to the rescue. The fight was brought out into the forest and there is where Optimus Prime got stabbed and killed by Megatron.

Honestly, I felt so sad when Optimus Prime died. He was the leader of the Autobots and is known to be invincible. But his death proved otherwise.

Sector Seven agent Simmons reveals his hidden alien archive and explains that the Transformer have visited Earth before, as their language is written on the ruins all over the world. Wheelie, the tamed Decepticon who will only listen to what Mikaela says, identify the language as that of the Primes but only a Seeker can translate it. They find a Seeker stored in a museum, an aging Decepticon named Jetfire, who defected to the Autobots.

Jetfire teleports the group to Egypt via a space bridge and explains that the tomb of the Primes is located in the surrounding desert, and only a Prime can kill the Fallen - Optimus Prime that is.

During the full-assault from the Decepticons, Sam got killed when the airforce did a series of bombs to stop the Decepticons from advancing towards Sam. In a vision, Sam meets with the other Primes, who told him that the Matrix of Leadership must be earned, which Sam has done. Sam is brought back to life and the Matrix reforms from the dust. And finally, Optimus Prime is revived. The Matrix was then stolen by the Fallen, with the aid of Megatron and activated the Sun Harvester. Jetfire, who was mortally wounded gives up his life and parts to give Optimus Prime the strength he needs to defeat the Fallen.

Optimus Prime was like the hunkiest Autobot I have ever seen! With improved body parts, I went "WOH!" when he stood up. Optimus Prime then sets out to kill the Fallen and destroyed the Sun Harvester. Megatron was heavily wounded and Starscream convinces Megatron to retreat.

I am very impressed with this movie as a whole. The animation was wicked! I have never seen such animation so polised before. I meant when there is a mix of the things we can see, and the things that never existed. It felt like the Transformers was really in existance.

Therefore, my rating for this movie would be a solid 7 out of 5 stars! Haha! Angels and Demons now has dropped down to spot #2 in my "Favourite Movies in 2009". And Transformers 2 taking over the #1 spot! So hurry and catch this blockbuster. Never to be missed!

Oh! I read somewhere that there will be Transformers 3 - shall anticipate for that!

That is all for now.
Cheers!

MOVIE REVIEW: GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST
2:13 AM

Date watched:
June 17th, 2009
Where? Cathay @ E!hub Downtown East
Movie-buds: Fauzi, Idham, Nina & Syahmi

To yet another movie review. This American romantic comedy film is based on the plot in the book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Honestly, I find this film a little disappointing. But with the injections of humour and lessons, I guess it would be just enough to compensate the disappointments. This film is definitely hilarious if you are looking for some laughs. This film too makes you wanna go up to the screen and just knock some sense onto Connor Mead's head (played by Matthew McConaughey).

The story line begins with Connor Mead attending his brother's wedding, Paul Mead (played by Breckin Meyer). Connor is forced to re-evaluate his behaviour as he comes face-to-face with the ghosts of girlfriends past, present, and future, along with his deceased uncle, Wayne Mead (played by Michael Douglas).

The experience of having to travel back and look at the obnoxious things he has done to women changes his attitude and that allows him to connect with his first love and only love, Jenny (played by Jennifer Garner).

Tell you the truth, I actually took my mobile phone out to type the things that I like during the movie. My first favourite scene (which is one of the scenes I love the most) is when Connor leaves Jenny on their first night in bed. All Jenny wanted was to see the same face the next morning, but Connor being brought up as "Mr Casanova" leaves her before Jenny knows it. The devastation on Jenny's face gripped my heart the most and I felt kinda sad for her. I mean, who wouldn't right?

The wine and cake scene is one out of the many funny scenes that were present in the film. The determination from Connor trying to save the cake from crashing down to the floor. But all else fails and that crushed the wedding cake big time! On top of the destroyed wedding cake, the sensitive and highly self-critical wife to be to Paul is not only appalled by the cake, but also when Connor indirectly calls her fat. It is one of THE classic moment.

Connor is being followed by three of his past girlfriends. One of her is Melanie (played by Nouree DeWulf). Quoted by what Melanie said when she travels into the present to show Connor what the others were saying about him, "It's the present you idiot. We're here" - in an Indian accent. No mean to mock their accent, but it seemed too "classic".

Also, there was a particular scene which she made drinks for her friends at her place. She made servings for Martinis and guess what she said? "I have apple martini, bumblegum martini and TANDOORI martini. I hope I did not gross you guys out" Hahaha! I think, if memory serves me right, I was the only one laughing in the theater. Hah!

Honestly, there are just too many good scenes for me to type it all down. So, to conclude this review. I have picked my most favourite scene. It is when Paul confesses his love for Connor. Saying that Connor is the bestest brother he ever had. Quoting from Paul himself "I wanna be like my kid brother". I just find this awesomely cool. Though it is not one of the most fantastic scenes in the entire movie, I could feel the connection. The wanting to be like someone who you look up to.

As for me, I try to be the best that I can, because I know there are people looking up to me. On the other hand, I do have people who I look up to. So one way or the other, it made me realise what it takes to be looked up upon and vice-versa. So when this particular scene was showing, I strongly felt the emotions that were set across. Connor wanting the best out of his Paul against all odds.

Quoting from Connor's toast during the wedding, "You and me, against the world".

And one of the reasons why I was looking forward to this movie is because of this...

.
.
.
.
.

Jennifer Garner!
Man is she hot! She has that nice-to-look-at features.
Sweet and subtle, I like!

I guess that concludes my review. My rating for this movie would be 3 out of 5 stars. I would have rated it higher if the plot takes a step higher and play around with emotions. I like to watch confusing stuffs which at the end of it leaves me either crying, laughing, impressed or simply "Darn! Why didn't I think of that?!"

Sorry if this is kinda a bad review.
Till the next review,
Cheers!

ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS
2:54 AM

Often, we tend to look at things from the surface. As the idiom goes, never judge a book by its cover. Despite the mistakes, we are after all human beings. It would be radical to say that everyone is perfect.

The greatness in a person's heart can only be measured if we take notice. Though we can be ignorant at times, it is the small little things that make us appreciate the person better. The greatness, however, will shine through - piercing through any being that appreciates lesser.

In the human mind, as complicating as it already is, the theory of being a close-knit member in any relationship is defined as just a close-knit member. It would take a whole lot effort for one to realise that being a close-knit member is more than being close. Being there physically is just a quarter of it.

I am blessed that I have a Dad who is more than just a close-knit member. I have always understood his approach when it comes to parenting. Most Dads (Okay, maybe I am stereotyping) would provide the tools and allow us to execute it without being told. As for mine, he neither provides the tools nor the direction. In other words, being independent in whatever situation is what we are taught - indirectly that is. We, as in my siblings including me, would only seek for the tools from Dad only in desperate times.

Being independent taught me a great deal of responsibility, which I try to uphold time and time again. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't. Learning from failure is just one of the life lessons that we're indirectly being taught.

Dads are usually the man behind the scenes. The things they have done for us, but are not credited for. Dads, most of the time, will not ask for anything in return. Being humble is a way to avoid arrogance. Or sometimes, being humble is just a way to show that whatever it's been done comes from the heart.

As quiet as my Dad is, I know that he would always want to best out of us in whatever we do. I am not implying that my Dad does not care, but the moment he starts giving advices, as simple or short as it sounds, it would make us think for days.

As we get older, we tend to drift away from our parents even more. Knowing that they have done so much for me, I always turn the wheel around. Striking random conversations with my Dad makes me feel good actually.

Today being Father's Day, I hope it would remind us of how great our respective Dads are. Remind us of how much they have done for us. Having to work long hours (or even extra hours) just to pay the bills, and the many other things.

Appreciate them more if you have not.
Show them that they have raised you well.
Love them like how all parents would shower their love over their children.

After all, as much as all of us are trying to avoid, our time with them are getting shorter and shorter. Appreciate them now before it is all too late.

With that, I would like to wish my Dad a Happy Father's Day. Of course, it does not take just this day for us to be reminded of all the things our respective Dads have done for us.

And I am not shy to say the following, I LOVE MY DAD!

Khai

If one day my child runs up to me and calls me a great Dad,
I know whom to thank.

THIS IS ME BY DEMI LOVATO
4:24 AM

Alright. A short update before I hit the sack.

Go on, press play.

I was browsing through my songs and came across this. I know "Camp Rock" was so last season, and this song pretty much collected enough dusts. But this is the kind of songs that I like. The acoustic version and you would probably have to agree with me on this - this is way better than the pop-ish upbeat version.

Plus, Demi Lovato is kinda cute don't you think?

I'm off. First day tomorrow later. Excited? Hmmm, kinda.
Cheers!

MOVIE REVIEW: TERMINATOR SALVATION
9:00 PM

Date watched: June 5th, 2009
Where? Cathay @ E!hub Downtown East
Movie-buds: Nina, Hakim and Syahmi

I was actually rather surprised that this film was enjoyable. After reading several scathing reviews, I was very worried going into this film. On the other hand, I have heard people saying that this installment of Terminator should not be missed. Hence, I entered the movie theater hoping for the best - trying to avoid any disappointments.

The fourth film in the Terminator series, this film revolves around two main characters. Resistance leader John Connor (played by Christian Bale) and Marcus Wright (played by Sam Worthington) as the cyborg. The truth is, I seriously have no idea what this film is all about. So, upon reading about it on the net after watching this, I soon learned that this movie traveled back in time before the first three films happened (correct me if I am wrong). It adapted the story like how George Lucas adapted it to Star Wars.

This film also introduces a young Kyle Reese from the original 1984 film, played by Anton Yelchin, as well as depicting the origin of the T-800 Model 101 Terminator. Yup, Anton Yelchin - the Russian from the recent blockbuster, Star Trek.

STORY-LINE
In 2003, Dr. Serena Kogan (played by Helena Bonham Carter) of Cyberdyne Systems convinces death row inmate Marcus Wright to sign his body over for medical research following his execution. A year later, the Skynet system is activated, perceives humans as a threat to its own existence, and eradicates much of humanity in the event known as Judgement Day. This film brings us forward to the year 2018, showing John Connor leading an attack by the Resistance on a Skynet base. John discovers human prisoners and the plans for the development of a new type of Terminator incorporating the human tissue. Although Skynet's been destroyed, Marcus emerges from the wreckage of the base and proceeds on foot to Los Angeles (LA).

Passing through the famous Hollywood sign and having to see LA down to its rubble, Marcus got rather confused as to what had happened. Little did he know, he was a cyborg himself. Passing through the ruins of LA, he came across a cyborg whose mission was to kill any figures with a beating heart in it. Not knowing what to do, Kyle Reese came to the rescue and brought him somewhere safe. There, he met a mute girl, Star (Jadagrace Berry) who was trying to run away from the cyborgs.

Kyle relates to Marcus the events of Judgment Day and the ensuing war between humans and machines. Hearing John's radio broadcast, the three left LA in search of the Resistance. They survived an attack by the machines, but Kyle, Star, and several other humans were taken as prisoners.

I personally love the whole chunk of this film. It grips my attention and I was hoping the best for the characters. And before I could think the "grip" was over, I was taken aback and it starts all over again. The sound and visual effects were awesome. It was heartwrenching at the same time - with the large machines shooting deadly lasers at the innocent.

Unfortunately, a pair of Resistance A-10s got shot down. Marcus, who managed to escape the abduction, locates downed pilot Blair Williams (played by Moon Bloodgood) - knowing that Blair could bring him to John's base. A magnetic land mine along the way wounded Marcus.

Attempting to save his life, the Resistance fighters discover that he is in fact a cyborg with human organs. Marcus believes himself to be human, demanding to be released so that he can save Kyle from Skynet, but John orders his destruction.

However, Blair released him and helped escape from the base. During the resulting pursuit, Marcus saved John's life from Skynet Hydrobots, and the two formed alliance - Marcus will enter Skynet's HQ and attempt to disable its defenses so that John can rescue Kyle.

Guess who made a special appearance in the movie?

Arnold Schwarzenegger!

He busted out from a storage facility and attacked John Connor. From that part of the film onwards, I got rather confused. Was the "Arnold" Cyborg built to kill John Connor? Was that why when John Connor was in the building, it came attacking him? I tried putting the pieces together on my own. Well, it makes sense though! Haha!

The fight scene at the end was just awesome. Skipped a heartbeat here and there but that was pretty much it. I soon began to question the storyline because it became rather unrealistic. They were at Skynet's HQ, so why isn't there large numbers of Cyborg attacking the intruders? What happened to the other cyborgs? Hmmmm...

Anyway, while battling with the T-800 model 101 Terminator, John was mortally wounded, but succeeds in destroying Skynet's base by rigging several Terminator nuclear power cells as explosive, detonating them as he, Marcus, Kyle and Star were airlifted out. Kate Connor (played by Bryce Dallas Howard), John's wife, tries to save John's life, but his heart was too damaged. Marcus offers his heart for transplant, sacrificing himself to save John.

The quote Marcus gave left an impact on me even after the movie ended. He said something about everybody deserving a second chance, and that he already lived for the second time.

It was something like, "Everybody deserves a second chance to live. I've had mine".

John could have avoided the fatal attack and let Marcus live. But oh well, the ending was great, yet nothing spectacular.

Oh! I read somewhere that it costs $200 million to produce this film. Fu-yoh! Expensive or what?! They managed to cover the costs and spare around $14 million to go around. Haha!

Lastly, my personal rating of this movie would be 3 out of 5 stars.

Cheers!

20 IS JUST A NUMBER
8:58 PM

ALERT: MASSIVE UPDATE FOR ARCHIVING PURPOSES

I need to get this entry over and done with first before it starts collecting dusts in my photobucket account. 'Terminator Salvation' movie review will be done after this.

Okay, go!

So yesterday, June 14th was my birthday. If you have forgotten, shame on you! It was not so much of a big deal since I am just turning a year older. Okay, maybe I am a little concern that I am forced to give up the "1" and usher in the "2" with open arms. Turning 20 makes me feel old. But definitely, I am young at heart. *grins*

I fell asleep on my living room floor while watching the telly. The following morning, Mom and Dad woke up just to wish me 'Happy Birthday' before they left for Malaysia. As much as I wanted to tag along, I have Phil Youth rehearsal in the afternoon. Rehearsal was alright - maybe because I was tired from lack of sleep the night before.

Planned to head home and have Maggi after Phil Youth because I was hungry. And with my bulky and heavy instrument, I wanted to just head home fast; before I lose my sense of touch in my arms.

When I arrived at my front door, attached to the gate was a small piece of orange paper with little words. Written were some instructions telling me that my day isn't over yet and that I need to shower immediately, and wait for the next clue at 7:50PM. I immediately sensed that it must be the work of KBBG. A little suspicious of that small note, I entered the house slowly. Believe it or not, I was THAT afraid to enter.

I showered and got changed. And at around 8PM I received another clue via SMS - from Nina. The next instruction was to head out to my shoe rack for the next clue and which the subsequent clue directed me to the mailbox.

I was instructed to walk around the jogging track once if I wanted to receive the next clue. I seriously felt like an idiot walking aimlessly, smiling to myself thinking what could happen next. I looked around and see no one I recognise. Upon completing that one round, I received another clue. Oh brother! The clue directed me to a nearby lift lobby and another clue was pasted on the wall.

"Now, look for the 'Happy Birthday' sign,
where people would be kicking each other's asses off"

The moment I read that message, I mumbled "What the heck?! Where am I suppose to go now?!". I walked around the area and little did they know that I am about to surprise them. I was supposed to enter from the front but I brought myself from the back instead. Haha! Apparently, the birthday sign was hanging on the fence of a basketball court - Teakwando practice happens there every Sunday.

Walked towards them, and I think they are equally surprised as I am! Saw a lighted cake and they began to sing a birthday song. I kept whining to them how much I felt like an idiot, but all was fun. Haha!

Blew the candle off and they presented me with this large self-made birthday card (above). They also got me this really huge box tied with red ribbons. It was pretty heavy and it got me thinking, "What on mother earth could be inside this box?"

After the picture taking, we were all famished - including me. So, we unanimously decided on Simpang Bedok. Had our dinner, constant laughs and a little bit of serious talks here and there. It was with great company and I kept smiling to myself saying, "This could not have possibly be any better"

Then, as suggested, I opened the heavy box that was presented to me earlier on. Untied the red ribbon, took off the lid and all I see inside was red, red and more red! It was red-galore! If you have not noticed, red is one of my favourite colours.

As you could see from the picture above, they got me to take pictures with every single item (ALL 20) that was in that box. That explains the many "mini-mes" above. Haha! No worries, I have dedicated a whole portion at the end of this entry for what was inside that box.

Oh! The guys also presented me something that I was equally impressed with. That too, later at the end.

KBBG + CY w/o the army boys (Fairuz, Ogy & Wayne) and Heng Shoon

The usual group photo before we all go our separate ways. The rest headed home. As for Fauzi, Finah, Idham and myself, we headed to Changi Beach - take a stroll, plane watching, star-watching and enjoy the breeze. Got home before 12 and decided to give "Wendy" a test-drive under low-light (if you have no clue who Wendy is still, an entry about her is just directly below).

The self-made birthday card I received (above) with all their well wishes. Including the army boys' wishes! I was touched and that made me remember how much we all miss them. I had fun reading all of it. There were funny ones too. As always, it would come from Izzat. He wrote "Happy 31st Birthday!" Hahahaha!

RED kiddy watch, RED foodstuffs (Skittles, Kit Kat, Doritos, Maltesers), RED face towel, RED photo frames with photos of KBBG and SE7ENS in each, RED cushy rose on a stick, Strawberry flavoured RED Chupa Chups.

RED apple, RED ball, A tin of Coca Cola (in RED), RED socks, RED mechanical pencil, RED notebook, RED folder with 20 facts about me slipped inside, a large bottle of home-made cookies tied with a RED ribbon, RED mug with a RED keychain.

They even got me a RED London bus toy. I asked them, why bus? They replied saying because I wanted to be a bus driver when I was very young. I went "Oh!" and laughed hysterically! Hahaha!

Oh! I got a gift from the guys as well, which I was equally impressed with. Though it is something small, it's the thoughts that count.

They got me ....

A fishing kit! Cool or whaaat?!

There were a lot of hooks, ready-made hooks, weights, floats, a reflector - all in that one container! Izzat even tied a set of hooks onto a ready-line with his own hands, so that I would not waste time tying the hooks the next time we go fishing. Speaking of which, I wanna learn how to tie. Izzat, teach me! Haha!

Again, I can never emphasize how much I was touched by that simple gesture from the guys.

Thank you Nina, Amina, Susu, Asmah, Fidah, Finah, Cai Yu, Idham, Fauzi and Izzat for making my 20th birthday a very memorable one. Loved every single bit of the celebration. Loved the presents and the cake too!

I am glad that I get to celebrate my 20th birthday with such awesome friends I love.

Cheers!

Credits to Fidah for the pictures.
And of course, MY Wendy

SHE'S GORGEOUS!
2:59 AM

I think I have tortured you guys enough. Some of you probably would have scratched your head and wonder why I am acting all weird, talking so much about my new found love. The unveiling will be done later in the entry. I can guarantee you that.

So here is how we met.

I was in a shop on Sunday. So this jovial cheerful middle-aged woman, Ivy, introduced me to this simple girl (whom shall be named Wendy at the moment). But I guess I was blinded by the others that were in that shop. Being a total jerk, I minded my own business and neglected Wendy.

Ignoring her, I went for another girl (whom shall be named Priscilla), and soon realised I was not happy. "Why aren't I happy to know her? What am I not happy about knowing that she will be mine soon?", I questioned myself. A dark cloud hovered over me and I got mad at myself.

In the midst of all that, Jenny's Wendy's face was still fresh in my mind. The cold soft face she has shined out from the others. She illuminated the entire shop but regret soon came chasing after me, and that is when I realised I have made the biggest mistake of my life.

She has the nicest features that anyone could have asked for, yet I ignored. I went for looks rather than what is on the inside. How superficial I was! It took merely minutes for my senses to get knocked against - the wall that is.

I dumped Priscilla the next day because it was the right thing to do. It is of no point of me pursuing a girl who is not my cup of tea, and especially when my feelings for Priscilla was kinda fake. I called Ivy the following day and asked if she is in contact with Wendy - yes was the answer. I jumped for joy and requested for Wendy's number so that I can apologise and make it up to her.

I called Wendy and asked her out. Surprisingly, she agreed. I am irresistible, remember? Hahaha! ANYWAY, I could not wait no more and as each minute passes, my excitement grew. I was in love.

It's been long since I got so excited about a meet-up before.

>>> Fast forward >>>

We both decided to meet at 7.15 PM, Parkway Parade. When I arrived, as usual running a little late, I noticed she was nowhere to be seen. I sat and waited. Just like when you are waiting for your queue number to pop up on the screen. Yup, it was that exact same feeling :D

As minutes passed, questions came flashing through my mind.

"Has she left?"
"What if she is not coming?"

"What do I say the moment I see her?"
"How would I compliment her if she smells nice?"
"Where would I bring her next?"

More questions began flooding in my mind and finally, Wendy came. From afar, I noticed she was wearing this elegant black dress. I was extremely happy to see her.
"Oh my, she's gorgeous!", I said to myself. And from then on, I started believing that she was the perfect one for me. The meet-up was just how I pictured it.

She's mine now.

Ok, before I get all mushy and the yada-yadas, let me introduce you to my new love!

Sony Ericsson W902
Told you she's gorgeous!
The first Walkman phone with a 5.0 megapixel camera.
Elegant and sleek. What more can I ask for?

Just to clear things up a little.
  • W902 - 'W' for Wendy.
  • Samsung Preston - 'P' from Preston for Priscilla
  • Ivy - The lady working in that shop (M1 shop)
Now that you know it is a mobile phone I am talking about, do you see the connection to the story now? Haha!

A thousand apologies if I somehow cheated your feelings. Hahahaha!

I am done for now.
Terminator Salvation review is next!

Cheers!

For the record, I am still single. Haha!
(Not desperate though)
