haha!
i'm turning in cos lesson is at 9 tmr morning.
ok.. 1st things 1st...rmb when i told u guys that i'll be updating the pics.
well...
actually..someone have done the honor of putting it up on her blog.
feel free to visit her blog...
so thats settled..
lets talk about my 2nd day in school.
well..
i must say that its getting pretty interesting as minutes pass.
since its gonna be a brief and short update, i shall keep my word count to its minimal.
lets start with the 1st lecture of the day.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONs LECTURE.
yup..
1st.. the lecturer's pretty.. haha!
Ms Chan Pei Ling is her name.
she's a part time lecturer in NAFA and a Producer in some company..
cool eyy..
so..
basically..
we covered the course outline for 15weeks.
not only the lectures but also the Assesment bit.
cool outline i must say..
its INTERESTING...
so what the lecturer talked about was why there are bad listeners.
she talked about body language.
talked on Personal Prejudices.
she also talked about Listening Process.
1st comes with PERCEPTION
2nd in the INTERPRETATION
3rd is your EVALUATION
4th is ACTION taken.
see.. i do pay attention and take down notes.. :D
in between watched excerpts from the movie 'Shallow Hal'.
ended the 2-hr lecture by learning this formula.
"ORAL COMMUNICATION= BODY + TONE + SPEECH"
had an hour break (which i used it to have my early lunch).
then it was another lecture on
"History of Pre-Modern Western Art"
my lecturer is a free-lance artist.
cleo thang is her name.
learnt alot.
learnt the different types of time chart. (Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic in particular)
learnt different art found in different parts of the world.
we basically covered an example from Vienna, Spain and Salisbury.
learnt concepts of Perspective.
cool bit i must say.
*gotta hurry.. cos nina sed my time IS up.*
then it was break and during that break we were told to gather rocks for the next lesson.
which was
"METHODS AND MATERIALS"
yerp...
she told us to gather rocks.
its for us to pound em' up and make ANCIENT PAINT.
fastFACT:
did u know that cavemen use pigments of rocks to create color for their wall paintings?
thats y u see their paintings are mostly NATURAL colours.
i know u're like lost.
but nvm.. its ok.... hahaha!
so what we covered during that excercise was discussing the term ART!
haha!
a 3-letter word with so much to talk about.
also covered different forms of art like paintings, carvings, sculptures etc.
and before ending the lecture.
discuss the DIFFERENCE between..
MODERN
and CONTEMPORARY.
well.. let me enlighten u with my knowledge.
MODERN is BETWEEN THE 1800s - 1960s.
CONTEMPORARY is the FOLLOWING YEARS AFTER 1960s
so..think again before calling urself MODERN.. haha!
i have my 1st assignment though....
okok.. i have to be sleeping now..
till then..
oral com. rocks!
keep taggin'
