finally...
as promised, an entry.
let's skip a few chapters.
today was Good Friday.
well, it wasnt that good to me.
i spent the whole day at home with nothing to do.
well, not actually.
i mopped the whole 1st storey of my house.
did some chores and that was basically it.
whee! (not)
so yeah,
there's so many things to update on but i just do not know where to start.
well, way to go khai!
so anyhoos,
ok, since some of you have not visited my house or sth.
this one's for you.
to those who have, its pretty much what u'll see moving if u laze around in my house.
guess what it's going to be?

MY ADORABLE CATS.
that shall be the topic for today; i guess.
first of all, i am not going to tell how many of em' i have.
just read till the end and u'll find out more!
let's rewind as to how cats came into existence in my house.
as a toddler and as a kid,
i grew up with cats all around me.
my family are cat-lovers; Mom especially.
and so do i.
so when Mom got pregnant to my younger sis,
(and that was when i was 6 years old going 7.)
Mom had to made a decision of getting rid of our cats.
she was afraid that when there's a new addition to the house (referring to my sis),
my sis might get allergic to the furs and hence, develop Asthma.
you know those kinda thing.
i couldn't remember as much though,
but if memory do serves me right,
i was terribly saddened with the removal of cats.
not till recently,
(well not that recent anymore i guess)
that mom decided to get a cat.
in mid-december of year 2006,
i was out in the morning for band if i'm not wrong,
so anyway,
when i got home in the afternoon, i was shocked to see a kitten hiding in the corner.
shouted for mom,
and yes, it was her who got it.
well it doesn't come cheap.
(5 seconds delay)
i was trying to recall how much it cost; but i cant seem to recall.
for all i know it was a 3-digit number.
we named it 'Kid-Kat' (haha!)
but eventually, his name shortened to just 'Kid'.
it's a Scottish Short-Haired male cat.
he was around 3 months old when mom brought it home and now,
he's around 1 year and 6 months old now.
with his age, i must say Kid's been thru' alot.
from the constant scoldings and 'beatings' Kid got from Dad.
from exploring the corridor and got lost at the 2nd floor.
Kid sure have learned his lessons now.
well...
a little gallery of 'Kid' for your viewing pleasure.
when kid was still a kitten
one fine morning when i woke up to brush my teeth,
i came across this.
Kid while sleeping
(taken with a Canon SLR camera)
his standard sleeping position. haha!
he has fetish for plastic/shopping bags.
he'll enter them if he sees it lying around on the floor.
thats me and Kid's like,
"Let go of me you bugger!"
haha!
so yeah...
i was elated enough that we got a new cat.
so yada yada yada.....
and not till quite recently,
(10s delay; trying to recall)
[damn! my recalling skills doesn't seem to be working]
so anyhoos, for all i know,
mom got ANOTHER cat this year.
i think it was end of January or early Feb?
cant remember.
so yeah...
i went like...
"what... another cat?"
haha!
but it was a joy to see a new cat.
seriously.
mom got a kitten that I knew of, when i was a small kid.
that small "violent" distinct cat's name we had back then was 'Leo'.
since the new kitten's resemblance to 'Leo' was alike,
we decided to name him 'Leo'..
well shall i say 'Leo the Second'.
yes, its another male cat.
he's a Persian-Mixed breed.
he's 5 months old now?
and this kitten was bought.
the price attached to it was also a 3-digit number.
a gallery, again, for your viewing pleasure.
Leo looks like a mini-lion in this pic
shot #1 of him falling asleep.
shot #2
shot #3
shot #4
.. and he's gone. haha!
see the resemblance? hahaha!
oooo... scandalous. heh..
the sight of him sleeping each time i wake up from my bed.
he's asleep on the bed and that blue thing u see at the top is the pillow.
intelligent fella'.
before i continue,
another set of pictures that i took when i woke up in the morning some time ago.
went to the balcony...
and i saw this...
THEY'RE GAY!
haha!
nah... they're cleaning each other up.
fyi, in case u do not know, cats lick to clean themselves.
can u feel the love?
Leo must have been like..
"ok.. that's enough"
and now,
Leo's like..
"OK.. THAT'S A LITTLE BIT TOO MUCH!"
:D
so i thought 2 cats was enough.
like for real.
handling two cats with its
potty-business,
its food
and
to shower them (oh this one's HELL)
at least now i truly believe that Cats hate water. (lol)
u'll end up having scratches on ur arms if u insist to shower them.
hahaha!
well,
anyway....
not till last week when Mom went for a 5-days trip up to our house in Malacca,
(together with Dad, Sis and my Grandparents)
and then to KL to visit my Aunt [ i din tag],
she came back with ANOTHER kitten.
this time round....
i told Mom this...
"wah.. it seems that each time u go up to Malacca or KL u seem to
bring back an extra family member home."
and i was attacked by Mom's grin after that.
haha!
it's a SHE this time round.
a mixed-Persian breed and she's currently coming to 3 months old.
it doesn't come cheap
Mom bought it RM 600.
so it's around SGD 370?
well, i find cats in Malaysia are cheap.
it's not those kind pick up from the streets.
it's clinically treated and bred;
meaning were given health jabs for example
and were born in a Lab/Pet Shop.
if u were to get the same cat here in Singapore, it'll cost thrice as much.
well, i do not know why it costs a bomb.
high costs and standards of living?
haha!
NO FRIGGIN' IDEA!
i almost forgot to introduce her.
haha!
at 1st her name was to decide between 'Puteri' (meaning Princess in Malay) or 'Fiffy'.
i suggested 'Puteri Fiffy'.
Mom said it was too long.
so we settled to just 'Fiffy'.
i tell you,
she's the CUTEST thing ever.
she'll follow u wherever u'd go.
she'll make lots of noise if there's no one playing with her.
she'll run to u if u call out her name.
she'll pester u to put her to sleep.
she'll clinch onto u if she's cold.
wait till u see how she looks like.
i dun think pictures would allow u to see what i mean.
a little description of 'Fiffy'.
her feet are short.
her tail is short.
she has a fluffy fur.
and her body is square-y.
when she strolls, she look like a squirrel.
anyway,
less with the words.
and let a little gallery of her do the talking.
shot #1 of trying to get her to look at the camera
shot #2
shot #3
shot #4 (almost!)
shot #5
that's better.
so..
we're a Family of Ten.
(7 human beings and 3 felines)
i hope the number stops growing.
i was telling mom the other day while we were chilling,
"ma.. u know kan,
with the money u have spent on our 3 cats,
it's enough to get me through my driving license."
the reply she gave me was expected lah..
she went like..
"u and your license."
haha!
and she attacked me with her sarcasm.
(sedih maut)
hahahaha!
and usually,
my room is like a motel for them.
i do not know for some reason,
they seem to like to sleep in my room.
if not, my mom's.
but usually mom would kick them out of her room
and shut the door before she sleeps.
there's a reason to it u see.....
cats,
they like to snuggle and have someone to constantly rub their tummy.
(i can make do with that)
but its when in the early morning that u might get woken up by.
i seriously do not know why they're doing it,
but they'll give u a "massage" to wake u up.
i think cos they are hungry?
it's not those kind of nice massage.
yes, its nice...
but at intervals they'll massage with their claws drawn out.
and that means,
OUCH!
haha!
not really an OUCH! but its sharp and itchy.
but that ONLY happens if there's no one at home to give them food early in the morning,
or no one's awake in the morning to give attention to them.
u just have to experience it,
its irritating at times but at the same time, its what u call "Syiok-ness".
i've typed too much
to end this entry off,
if i were to give a word/phrase to describe my cat's personality,
i must say...
Kid - cool and can't be bothered much
Leo - Handsome and playful
Fiffy- OOOBER CUTENESS and naive.
till the next entry..
(while i was busy mopping the floor this morning; i saw this.)
CHEERS!
