AARGGHH!!
There are so many things that I wish to blog about.
Let's not be too ambitious aye Khai?
It is one of those occasion that all I feel like doing is to blog.
A sudden gush of motivation I suppose.
hahaha!
In simpler words, I just feel like blogging.
I might be doing a multiple entry.
Not in one entry. But in separate entries.
If I don't, I'll be receiving complains that my entry is too long.
(I personally don't think so anyway)
Ah, I'll see how it goes later on.
If I'm not going to do a multiple entry, will just leave it to tomorrow.
I'm not dying just yet you know.
But yet again, who knows.
*touches wood*
Haha!
I shouldn't really play around with death.
Especially when I am not spiritually prepared for it.
Next thing I know, the Grim Reaper would be by my bedside reading bedtime stories to me.
ISH!
Hahaha!
So,
allow me to rewind.
- 21st April 2008 -
I must say that this day is the busiest day yet satisfying day; out with wonderful people.
It was, by far (I think), the most busiest day with much datelines.
Long time since I felt busy and rushed.
So,
what was happening that day and two days prior to the actual day is as follows:
1. Had my 1000-word music report to finish.
(had to visit the Library and borrowed a total of 8 books.)
2. Had to finish up my final Music presentation on Monday morning
when the presentation is in the afternoon itself.
3. Dancers @ Work Production in the evening.
Argh! So unorganized.
I'm gonna do it chronologically.
The night before Monday, after I was done with my 1000-word report,
I told myself that I really need to take a rest.
Tiredness was taking over my whole body.
Decided to take a SHORT nap, and the next thing I saw on my clock,
it was 7AM!
So much of taking a SHORT nap huh.
Started touching up on the presentation slides and began doing my cue cards.
Thank God lesson was at 3pm.
If it was any earlier than 3pm, I'll be screwed.
Totally screwed.
At the end of it, I think partner and me did well.
It turned out well.
Saw Mr Lim's head nodding up and down most of the time.
After lessons, had to proceed to the school's Black Box for the production.
Oh ya, I never mentioned in any of my entries.
It is an annual project that we must satisfy in order to earn credits.
So, for Year 1 students, we had to be in that production.
Different duties were allocated and tasks were delegated.
I was the SM (Stage Manager),
6 ASMs, 4 Runners, 4 Light and Sound Crew and the rest were the stage crew.
(By the way, my whole class is involved in this project)
Yeah, so most of the time, I get shot.
Right in the middle of my forehead.
But it was a good experience I guess.
and another thing,
I feel like cursing throughout the process of this production
(inclusive of the rehearsals prior to the actual event)
Why I felt like cursing
(not because of my classmates but instead the other people involved)
is because we're expected to know EVERYTHING
when we were not informed of what EXACTLY our tasks are!
I won't mention names; but I guess the rest of my classmates do get my drift.
Let me give you simple situation.
It is like my first day of work and I am expected
to know every single procedure the company takes!
We know the duties we're allocated to,
but we do not know how to go about doing it.
I mean, it is already bad enough that all of these were VERY last minute,
and on top of that, we weren't explained thoroughly to of what needs to be done before hand.
But instead, they go wailing at us and giving that look that we're not doing a good job;
trying to ruin the whole show.
EXCUSE US please; even I was not well-informed of.
Haiya, what's the point.
But I'm glad I had to go through this process with my classmates.
Imagine if it were to be some unknown crew that I'm managing for the first time.
The negativity and all.
So anyway,
did not take much pictures during the whole production.
WHY?
cos we were in the dark most of the time!
HAHAHA!
One of the dance performance that I really like.
'The Sharman's Cat".
It is really really REALLY scary.
In a gist (to save time),
it is about two beings fighting for freedom of inner spirituality.
There were giggles (like how Pontianaks would sound like),
there were lighted joss sticks on a prayer bowl.
I was telling a classmate to pray hard and just hope that the performance would not
turn out to be 'The Return of Poltergeist'.
hahaha!
After the whole show finished,
which ended around 8:30pm (started at 5:30pm).
The show itself is around 2 hours.
So the remaining one hour, we were made coolies.
Haha!
We, as a class, basically had to clean the dance mats (which weighed 78kg per roll),
carry it across the bridge, and up to the dance studio and into the store room.
It was hell I guess.
Imagine everybody's tired and we were made to carry such heavy mats.
Oh! There were a total of 5 dance mats in total.
Thank god for the size of our class.
But at the end of the day,
it was a joy to see the whole class working together and getting the tasks done asap.
Had debrief with the Production Manager.
and that concludes the project.
-END OF PRODUCTION-
Mohan, Rene and myself was famished after the production.
Decided to have our late dinner outside.
Went to MANY places.
From school,
walked to Plaza Singapura's (PS)
Kopitiam and only to find out it is not Halal.
Then to this building's kopitiam, only to find out that the Halal stall is closed.
Walked to Lucky Plaza's (Besides Tangs; Orchard) famous Ayam Penyet Lvl 4 and
it was closed.
Went to this Prata place on the ground floor but Rene did not wanna eat there.
Little did I realise there's another Ayam Penyet (the same one) next to it.
So, settled down there.
Meet Mohan
This is Rene. I like her full name.
Anyway, she's Portuguese.
The famous Ayam Penyet.
The sambal, may I inform you,
DEADLY!
(in other words, SPICY!)
Its good food though.
Could really tell that all of us were really hungry, or rather famished.
All of us were eating in silence.
The place was rather quiet because we were one of the last customers of the day!
Haha!
Food rating: 4/5
Sambal rating: 3/5
(too spicy for me; but SYIOK! Just be cautious!)
After that rather late dinner,
Headed to Wheelock.
Main entrance of Wheelock Place
My plan was to wait for Wayne, who will knock off from work at 11pm.
So, Mo and Rene accompanied.
Headed Borders since it was still open.
We were looking at books...
books..
and MORE books!
found some that attracted me but wasn't in that state that I would spend money
on novels when I can just get it in the library.
Saw this Book of Phrases and Idioms.
Interesting stuff!
Learned new idioms while browsing through it.
ANYWAY,
Pictures will do the rest of the talking.
Word count is increasing!
Posers!
hahahaha!
Books...
and MORE books!!
I don't know why but I like this picture.
Pretty symmetric.
That recognizable cone dome at the main entrance.
HAHAHAHA!
(I realised something; Cone Dome.. get it?)
haha! NEVERMIND!
I swear I did not see that coming!!
It was close to 11pm.
Mo went off.
Rene waited with me while I was waiting for Wayne to knock off from work.
While waiting, we talked, listened to good music.
Rene and myself are like MUSIC-BUDDIES!
We'd share songs and her tastes are close to mine.
I'm listening to the songs she passed me via thumb drive now.
A total of more than 30 songs!
Wayne ended his work, walked Rene to the nearest taxi stand.
Left with Wayne and myself.
Had supper at Macdees and headed home.
Walked to a couple of bus stops down with a bottle of Snapple in my hands.
Took bus service no. 65 at 1230am.
Yes, past midnight.
I expected the bus journey to be fast,
but the sad thing, the bus was going at a slow speed;
even when there's space to speed up.
I mean not 'Too Fast Too Furious' kinda speed.
But at least a bit faster perhaps?
gee....
Pictures!
sight of Orchard Rd past midnight on a working/school night
This bugger wanted a shot of himself from the back
and No, he is not wearing boxers.
Its some expensive berms he bought.
Another sight, Taxis and more taxis.
It was really tempting to take a cab home; really!
So....
Got home, showered and went straight to bed.
Extremely tired, so slept peacefully.
Alright!
That is the end of my pretty looooong entry.
till the next one,
CHEERS!
(as I was editing the entry from the top, I've realised that this entry is very long!)
