This post was supposedly scheduled to be posted
on the night of April 8, 2008.
on the night of April 8, 2008.
Due to the circumstances that I, Khairul Anwar,
have to study for a test the next day,
I was not given the time to blog about the event;
which happened on the same day this post was scheduled to be posted.
hahahaha!
ok, cut the crap khai!
So as you can read the title of this post,
the Kesian Boyz™ went to a sushi buffet at Downtown East; not all were present though.
First and foremost,
for some of you who are unfamiliar with the "clan" (haha!) I am in,
Kesian Boyz™ is the group of my guy friends who never fails to provide great company.
Lets do it chronologically.
I started my day at my wonderful lecturer's studio which was located at Ubi Techpark.
We had our lessons there cos it requires us to have more hands-on experience.
And besides, it is near to my place.
No frets about that.
haha!
Mr Colin Ho ended his lesson 20 minutes early; 3:10 pm
Rushed off.
So here's the thing.
I'm suppose to reach there by, say around 4 pm.
The place I was at,
I calculated that it will require me to take 4 buses from where the studio was
to Downtown East.
I had to basically take 63, alight along Jln Tenaga,
board 65 then alight outside Kaki Bukit Prison School,
take 58 up to Pasir Ris Interchange
and take another bus to Downtown.
But I guess luck was on my side.
The moments that when I need to board the next bus,
it appears after I have alighted from the previous bus .
You get my drift don't you?
hahaha!
So, I reached Downtown at around 4:15 ?

This restaurant is under 'Sakae Sushi'.
'Hei Sushi' is the Halal-version of Sakae Sushi.
Anyway,
walked into 'Hei Sushi'.
The guys were already there earlier on because
Idham had to leave for his Jazz Orchestra rehearsal.
So anyway,
sat and mind you,
I have no clue of what I should do.
You see, I'm a virgin with sushi buffet.
Courtesy of Mr Ong Guan Yong,
he explained on what we can get and what we shouldn't think of touching at all.
hahaha!
Had a clearer explanation by then,
and I was good to go.
Seriously, being a virgin with the conveyor belts at a Sushi restaurant just interest me.
I find it.... well.... INTERESTING!
From taking the plates that we are only restricted to and ordering more from the Menu
via the computer screen.

It looked something like this.
I salute Ogy.
We had our personal dipping little bowl.
Where we were required to pour in Soy Sauce and add Wasabi.
Mine was relatively spicy (due to the Wasabi).
Looking at Ogy's little bowl, I could see that his was concentrated with Wasabi!
From the black soya sauce to dark GREEN!
It really looked concentrated.
So, me being curious as always, I took a piece of Sushi and dipped into his Sauce.
The moment I shove that thing inside my mouth, I gave that cramped-up face.
When I started munching on it, OH HELL was I being tortured.
If you know how the taste of Wasabi is like when consumed at a considerably large amount,
please do feel me.
If not, GO TRY!
hahaha!
*salutes to Ogy*
The remaining part of the little gathering we had,
I shall leave it to the pictures I took.
Not much of it though.
Roy's imitation of a Japanese in a Japanese restaurant
Busy eating
Here comes the plates..
Hurry! Grab them!
Aww! We missed it! haha!
Furthermost plate: some Tofu thingy,
2nd furthermost plate: Potato Cutlets,
Nearest plate towards you: Fried Scallop.
There were 7 of us.
We had split ourselves between two tables.
So imagine, each table, with two stacks of those plates above (shown is only one stack)
and the waitress had to clear it THRICE!
YES!
That is the amount of Sushi we ate!
hahahaha!
And the feeling after we were done,
NOT very good at all.
We were all STUFFED!
It felt like if another piece of Sushi were to enter our mouth,
we would throw what we have eaten back out!
The Sushi Buffet was worth it I guess.
With the free flow of Iced Water.
A complimentary bowl of Udon (which none of us like after trying out one bowl)
Free complimentary of a serving of dessert and two servings of fruits.
Being Youths (students), we were entitled to a cheaper price.
Each person had to pay 16 bucks +++.
I guess it was darn worth it.
Ogy and I did this little calculation:
Imagine....
One person, eats approx 20 plates.
Each plate costs approx S$1.88.
So, one person would have to pay S$40!!!
yeah, IT WAS HELL WORTH IT!
after Sushi, was pool.
after pool, the guys went down to Simei for a session of CS.
(hell do they have a lot of free time, hahaha!)
I did not tag cos I have to be home to study for a paper.
Shuckadoodles!
My entry is elongating!
I studied from 11 pm till close to 4:30 am.
I was accompanied by Fiffy.
hahaha!
She was merely distracting me till I had to play wrestling with her.
She was biting the edges of my notes.
Sitting on top of my notes.
Playing catching with my pencil wherever it goes while I'm writing.
Well, that gave me a break which I much needed at that point of time.
Pictures to provide evidence!

till the next entry,
CHEERS!
