The Blogger
perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

LOVE IS . . . GIVING!
11:50 PM

If you think that I've gone mad by putting up Ben & Jerry's™ Logo,
No, I have not gone mad.
Because today was Free Cone Day™!

Well, a little bit more about Ben & Jerry's™ for those who are unfamiliar with them.

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield are ex-hippie lifelong friends.
Both completed their correspondence course in ice cream making in 1977.
They invested near to $12,000 to open up an ice cream parlor in a renovated gas station.
They started making extraordinary flavors and the public gave good response to it.
They are well-known up to this very day.

So, what is up with the Free Cone Day™?

It is an annual event held in late April or early May, in which Ben and Jerry's scoops shops
gives free ice cream cones all day.
This year's event, which took on Tuesday, on April 29th,

marks the company's 30th annual Free Cone Day.

Over one million free cones are given away each year,
prompting the company's ad slogan "Be One In A Million."
Charitable organizations are often present at the stores each year
and enjoy a significant amount of fund raising success.

So,
I went the nearby outlet, which was Cathay after school.
With Fidah and Nina.
And when I arrived, man was the queue loooooong.
The line stretched over two floors.

The rest of the entry is going to be pictures
because it is much more interesting that way.
I hope.
Hahahaha!
Ok, here I go!

Warning: 1st 6 pictures is the queue alone.

While making my way up to the 3rd floor, where the queue starts

Somewhere along the queue

Again, somewhere along the queue

We waited...

.. and waited...
(oh, that's the outlet looking from the 3rd floor)

... and waited.

Someone obviously got really bored while queuing up...
and we finally got our ice cream!
haha!
and since it was a charity-related thing,
we donated a small sum.

They had a mini performance by the staff there; Well, I was just guessing.

Just look at the crowd!

And.. Look at their faces.
Never have I seen full concentration while eating Ice cream.

For the 1st round:
(Yes!)
I got the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (Super Fantastic!)
Fidah got herself New York Super Fudge Chunk
and Nina got herself Chocolate Therapy.

After we're done with one 1st cone, we had this idea of queuing up again!
Hahahaha!
And so we did!
Went up to the 3rd floor where we all began!

Someone got REALLLLLY bored.

Er... Please ignore this lunatic.
I believed she is wanted by IMH Officers.
(hahaha! Just kidding Fidah!)

For our second round:
I got the New York Super Fudge Chunk (Super Fantastic!)
both Fidah and Nina got the Strawberry Cheesecake.

Thought of queuing up for the 3rd round,
but that lunatic (as mentioned above) had to leave.
So, dropped the idea.
Fidah went back SP for her band practice, Nina and myself headed home.

Note to self:
Never take bus service no. 14 from PS down.
The bus ride, Long and Dreadful.
Almost had butt cramps.
hahaha!
-------------------------------------------------------------

Took 60 home from Bedok Inter and while on the bus,
surprisingly, 662 called.
Long time since we last chatted.
He was asking for Mitch Albom's books.
Good choice! His books are good!
(or is it Her?)

Wait till after my exams yah?
(which is after the 17th of May)
We'll do some catching up.

till then,

Remember people .......

CHEERS!
