Talking To The Moon

perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

RANDOM DAY
3:19 AM

Good day to all.
Or rather Good morning to all.
Did not really have the chance to blog at an earlier time due to some disturbances
in the cyber world.

It is kinda dull, so bear with me.
Woke up at 2 in the afternoon (I know I know; Heh!) and showered.
Headed to Chong Boon Secondary for my
weekly tutoring to the saxophone section there.
I thought I was going to be late because I board bus service number 25
at 3.35 pm,
along Ubi when tutoring starts at 4 pm.
Surprisingly, I got there on time.
Well, not really. Haha! I was 5 minutes late?

Did some new score they just received.
Teaching is tough but teaching with patience is quite rewarding.
Despite the difficulty faced.
Patience has never been one of my virtues but since the day I started
tutoring Saxophone to schools, secondary schools in particular,
patience is one of those things that I would uphold.
It is hard and at times, I feel like blowing up.
But hey, I was like them before.
The enthusiasm to learn more and the hunger for knowledge.
They are learning, so I should not give myself an excuse to stop
providing them with whatever knowledge
I have acquired throughout these years.
Just hope that they will improve in months to come.

And sometimes, if they don't improve, I only have myself to ask.
Why aren't they improving?
Were my methods of teaching wrong?
But being quick as I can be, I'd cover the wrong method with a better one.
I don't know, I just feel like I'm gifted.
Not gifted as in those prodigy.
Hahahaha!
I can teach well I mean.
Don't wish to be overly confident, but I'm still learning myself.
ALL of these are part and parcel of being a Band Director aka Conductor.
:D

Moving on,
after Chong Boon, headed down to Bedok.
Was trying out the buses around that area (Ang Mo Kio; AMK).
Saw 45 and decided to board and see how fast it will take for me to reach Bedok.
Board the bus and bumped into Farah!
My Pan....da...... oops. :P
I am suppose to keep quiet about it.
I was in shock basically.
Of all people, I bumped into her; at AMK!

Alighted at Chai Chee and took 87 to Bedok Interchange.
Sat at Long John Silvers (LJS) with Nina, Finah, Nad, Idham, CY, Aaron.
Ogy, Fauzi, Wayne, Yonglin came soon after.
Slacked there till we got bored, of course.
The rest was rather impromptu and random.

Headed to Tampines for . . .
.
.
.

STARBUCKS!

It was Wayne's treat.
He bought Vanilla Latte.
I got White Chocolate Mocha Frappucino and shared with Idham.
The siblings, Fauzi and Syafinah shared Caramel Frappe.
Thanks Wayne!

The same routine each time after a doze of Starbucks.
Walked through the blocks and the park and boarded 65 home.
Got home like 11.30 pm.
And gee, I have been reaching home late.
Ok, it is not THAT late.
But it is to me.
The past few days, been reaching home between 11 - 1230 pm.
I need to stay at home more often.
Or rather, straight-jacket myself and after which,
duct tape myself to the wall with million layers of it.
Not forgetting to throw my ATM card away.
And have my savings locked.
Haha!

So that was my day.
This entry is rather dull.
Told ya to bear with it.
Hahahaha!

Oh!
Rene's leaving for Sydney for two weeks with her Mom later in the evening.
Some family matters to attend to.
Have a safe flight buddy!
Take care!
Bring Kangaroos and Koala Bears back home!
Green Tea Nougats too!!
Haha!
Take care!

And speaking of flying...
Clarice, I hope you're enjoying yourself on the trip to Europe;
who departed from Singapore in the afternoon yesterday.
So lucky of you!
Get to see the world.
Italy and Switzerland as I have heard from Mohan.
Cool stuff!
Bring back Pasta or Pizzas from Italy and tonnes of Chocolates from Switzerland!
Haha!

And those are the 3 places I would love to go.
It is in the list of places I am dying to go.
Guess where tops up the list?

VENICE!

City of Water, City of Bridges, The City of Light.

It is considered by many to be one of
the most beautiful cities in the world!

Will probably head there for my honeymoon.
Till then, study hard, word hard and get a well (or high)-pay job.
And get a wife of course!
Hahaha!

You know what?
That leaves me an idea for one of my entries.
'Countries in the world that I would love to go'
Yeah, will compile the necessary information in the next few days.
WHEN I have the time.
Heh.

Ok ok..
I better get going.
It is 4.08 am now.

CHAO CHIN CHOW!
