perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

WHAT A DAY
11:43 PM

Today was rather a tiring day.
For the love of God, I feel drained.
Super duper drained.
Headed to Chong Boon Secondary for tutoring in the afternoon.
Taught them American Elegy.
Hmmm. There was improvement but oh well.
I just have to patient. Right?

After tutoring headed down to the quadrangle and waited for the band to fall in.
Took over once they were ready.
Hmmmm. My aim during that session was not to make it a tiring one.
Neither did I had the intention of making it boring.
I just had to be .. ME!
Yeah, perhaps the funny side of me.
How weird was it that a bee flew into the squad and the girls were screaming.
If I am not wrong, a guy was screaming too.
Impressive!

And man, teaching drills is freakin' tiring.
My throat felt super dry. Desperate for water.
Cold water I must say.
Teaching drills and taking a squad is two different thing.
Teaching a small squad is what I have been doing.
Taking a big squad is normal to me.
But teaching a huge group for drills.
Man, it was not as what I expected!

Felt giddy and all after taking the squad.
The need to rest is there.
But too bad I can't because I have to rush down to Bugis.
National Library Visitor's Centre to be exact.
For PHILwinds practice.
And may I add, the view from the 5th floor was gorgeous!
Anyway, ran through 'U Trau' twice.
And we're done within an hour.
Sat in for a while to listen to Concertango.
Interesting piece with interesting guest players.
And oh! The Guest Saxophone Soloist IS CONFIRM MY NEIGHBOUR!
Hahaha!

Weird thing.
At times, I would hear a saxophone being played next door.
I stood by my window to listen to it.
His playing is wicked.
So one day I saw him walking out of the house.
Saw him at FTP's concert. The person looked familiar.
Didn't bother so much, so gave the guessing a pass.

Till recently, I saw him.
And today, I saw him again.
Confirm 100% !
I tell you. He is the greatest saxophonist I know.
I like the way he does his vibrato.
Sexy, you know? Hahaha!
His playing is just incredible.

Don't believe?
Attend this Sunday's concert.
The Philharmonic Winds will stage up a performance
at the Esplanade Concert Hall on June 15th 2008 at 7.30 pm.
Tickets are available at SISTICS.
More details, search it on the net or something. Heh.

Woh, I sidetracked SOOOO MUCH.
Getting back on the right track, went over to Fauzi's place
after Philwinds' practice. Kinda looking forward to just slack there.
And what a bummer. Of all people.

You know what. I'm gonna end this entry here.
Suffering from a terrible headache now.
Which is seriously killing me.
Will edit this entry once more during the day when I have had my rest.

And pardon me for the grammar or spelling mistakes.

Ciao.
