The title of my entry may not fit nicely into the following content. But I feel that it fits nicely into what happened on Friday. Haha! I have always been looking forward to this year's Singapore Fireworks Festival. Yeah, every year without fail, would make it a point to catch it.
The initial plan of catching it with someone vanished into thin air and so, Nina and myself eventually asked a different group of people instead. Morning anticipation was pretty much there. School was VERY dry, considering the fact that both lecture was flooded with content and facts. I should be getting use to it by now. So, no surprises.
The afternoon lecture ended an hour early and so, headed down to City Hall to check something out in this particular shop. Last minute purchases were made on that very day. Haha! An hour passed by fast when you are occupied. Met up with people in City Link and the rest was pretty much waiting for people. Met up with Nad first. Then Fidah and Nina. Then Pauline, who brought her 6 years old cute cousin and finally, Finah. Made our way to the center of the bridge near Merlion Park. (Is it called Nicoll Highway? I don't know. Lol!)
Anyway, found a really good spot one and a half hours before the first firework shot up in the sky. The wait was rather long. That could conclude to the lack of oxygen to the brains; resulting in much nonsensical nonsense. I did a commentary (recorded video) and I tried speaking in Malay. And oh my gosh! I could not even articulate simple words and that was when I officially declare myself as someone who basically pretty much suck in the Malay Language. Haha!
Enjoyed the breeze, the view and every single moment of it while waiting for the fireworks to start. And I definitely enjoyed myself watching the fireworks.
The sudden blow of colorful lights, lighting up the dark sky. The loud explosion that can be felt. The view was simply spectacular. With great company and view, it can not get any better aye?
Met up with Idham after the show ended and took bus service number 10 down to Simpang Bedok. To have supper of course! Met up with Fauzi there.
Let me introduce you to ...
Joey! She is Pauline's 6 years old cousin. She tagged along since the point we met up at Marina, to the point she got back home. She is the cutest small kid I have ever met in my life. VERY ACTIVE TOO! Very shy at first, but after I brought myself down to being a kid (like her, too), she began to open up more. I felt like some Dad. Haha! It is fun bringing out the kid in me. But I seriously think that that should be done sparingly. Like once in every THREE blue moon? Haha!
PAULINE! Bring her out more often! Haha!
So, our final destination was Simpang Bedok. Took a couple of pictures and we called it a night. Fauzi fetched all of us home. (Thanks!)
Sweet right?
Pauline asked her to feed 'kor-kor'.
She picked up a piece of prata that I tore for her and fed Fauzi.
We wanted to leave, so asked her hurry finish up her favourite drink (Bandung).
So she took a huge breath and began drinking at a fast speed.
Could see that she had brain-freeze. Haha!
And I don't see why there is a need to take a huge breath.
Kids.... Heh.
