perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE
2:10 AM

Alright. Just got home an hour ago. So I thought I would do an entry before turning in. Nothing much to talk about yet, so, on with my daily happenings.

At around 10 plus at night, Mom thought of doing a little bit of grocery shopping at Mustafa Centre. So everyone at home got changed and headed to Mustafa Centre. Spent quite some time there. Bought shower cream, basically toiletries and some other food stuff.

Weird thing was Mom and Dad kept asking what my elder brother, younger sister and myself wants to buy. So I guess that's a green light for us to take whatever we want from the shelf and throw it into the basket. Muahaha! So, I got myself 3 packs of Kinder Bueno and a Cadbury center-filled chocolate crispy cereal. Initially, I thought of taking more chocolates and keep it as in-stocks at home, but to think of it, this is the fasting month period. Hence, eating will only be carried out at night. And usually, when it is late at night, I will start to lose my appetite for candy and chocolates. It is unhealthy you know.

In the midst of looking at the incredibly huge variety of chocolates (good quality ones of course), Mom was cracking her brains thinking of items to give away if ever friends or cousins were to come over my place for Hari Raya visits. She had quite a number of creative ideas but too bad, I will not reveal it here. I would not want to spoil it! Hehe. I guess that is what every Mom would be thinking of now in preparation for this coming Hari Raya.

Talking about Hari Raya, preparations been kinda stagnant. Nothing much have been done except for the completion of 6 different types of cookies (one more on the way). Been bugging Mom to paint the whole house. So, I am just hoping that she would want to paint the whole house too. There's too much green (Mom's favourite colour)! Haha! To those who have been to my house, you know what I mean. Well I have slightly less than two weeks for that to work. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

So anyway (so much of side-tracking), after Mustafa, Mom decided to have supper. By then it was close to midnight. Went to the nearest place which was Sakunthala's Restaurant. All I can say is, the Naan is a MUST TRY! It is the perfect kind of Naan anyone could have ever asked for. Ordered quite a lot. 2 pieces of garlic Naan, cheese Naan and Butter Naan respectively, cut into quarters per piece. Bro got himself plain Thosai and I got myself Poori set (which looks like 2 huge round pillows). Dang! I must say, the poori was disappointing. It wasn't nice but it was to Mom. Say no more, I shall leave it to the pictures.

I do not know why I am showing you this picture.
But anyway, that's my younger sister. Hah!

Mom and 2nd Bro anxiously waiting for the arrival of our food.
Look at their tired faces.

The 'teh tarik' was heaven.
Mom called it 'Teh Power Ranger'. Cute. Haha!

Presenting the Naan(s) with the Keema to eat along with it.
Garlic Naan was the best out of the other two -- A MUST TRY!

For a slightly more than a meal for five people, it totalled up close to $43. I guess it wasn't that pricey. But hey, it was good food! Nothing can ultimately beat that when your stomach is satisfied.

Got home and the ride home was pretty fast I must say. Dad kept cruising throughout. Out of the many traffic lights that Dad came across, he only had to stop the car ONCE! Plus, the roads were kinda empty most of the time. How I wish it was THAT empty when I am making my way to school for 9 am lessons.

So as the title of my entry have stated, it has been a while since we ate supper late at night, together. Speaking of which, I am looking forward this Saturday. We gonna head over to Johor to break our fast. Heard that Mom wants to dine-in at Salt 'n' Pepper (the buffet restaurant where I celebrated my birthday with them). Keeping my fingers crossed that Mom would change her mind and dine-in at Grand Hyatt instead. I would love to try the food there. Keeping my fingers crossed again.

Anyhoos, it was suppose to be last Saturday, but since 3rd bro had his duty at the airport, so she postponed it this coming Saturday. Can see that she's trying very hard to get every one of my siblings and iftar together. Appreciate it Mom. Hope that 1st bro can make it too and bring his bike along. Since the car can only fit 5 people (the most 6).

I shall be looking forward to that day.

Haha! I have just realised. So much of nothing much to talk about. Heh.
Alrighty. That is all for now.
Ciao!
