perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

COMEBACK PART 1
2:51 PM

Alright, as promised, an entry.
Honestly, I do not know where to start.

So many things happened and with my examinations in the way during that period of time, I was not able to provide an instant update on it. Let me see, there are so many things in my way right now, despite the fact that I am on semester vacation.

SDT's (Singapore Dance Theatre) performance is taking a hell lot of my time. Oh well, since I am on this subject, might as well talk about it.

You should look at the rehearsal schedule and it is crazy. For the month of November is not all that bad. But I hate to see that I am packed for at least three quarter of the entire month of December.

From the 1st till the 20th of December, I am required to be there for rehearsals and it kills me so much that when it is time for the whole production to bump-in at Esplanade Theatre, we are required to be there (for most of the days) from 9 am to 11 pm. So please do agree with me that I am currently leading a rather sad life.

But wait... ON TOP of SDT's production, I have two upcoming event that I am involved in.

First, is OBOG's Concert. Performance date is on the 11th of December. Prior to the performance, of course there is a need for rehearsals.

Secondly, is The Philharmonic Youth Winds' concert. Performance date is on the 23rd of December. Again, the preparation for ANY concert, there are rehearsals too. In addition to that, I will be designing the program booklet and trust me, that takes a lot of time.

In lieu of that, I am guessing the number of intensive practices will step up when the performance date is drawing near.

So look at it in this way:

SDT's performance AND rehearsals
+ OBOG's concert AND rehearsals
+ Philhamonic Youth Winds' concert AND rehearsals
+ Designing the program booklet
= HELP !

All of the above are happening all at the same time in the month of November and December.

Honestly, I feel that volunteering for SDT's production is such a bad idea. When I volunteered, I thought the number of rehearsals would not be that much. But to my horror when I received the rehearsal schedule, my jaw dropped.

I know I know, I am all for the experience. But I do not want to experience it knowing that I excruciatingly have so many things in hand now. At the end of it, I will just be fully drained. With SO MUCH energy zapped out of my body, how am I suppose to put in extra effort during rehearsals and especially on the performance day itself?

The semester vacation is suppose to be FOR ME. For me to take a step slower and catch up on the things that I have missed during school term and most importantly, the many MANY things I missed out during my exam period.

Looking at it now, I have lost touch of it all. I feel like I am on a hamster wheel. It keeps going round and round; wondering when it will finally stop.
A tedious and continuous routine.

The next thing I know, school resumes.

Oh man.
I am in a huge dilemma right now.
