perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

SONG FOR GAZA

Disclaimer: Some of the images in this video may not be suitable for the faint hearted. But I urge you to watch because not everyone is as lucky as you are now.

We Will Not Go Down (Song for Gaza)
Composed by Michael Heart

I cried watching this footage. There is nothing much that I can say but to feel sorry for them. All I hope is for the killings to stop. I mean, put whatever aside and at least think about the children. I feel sorry for them to grow up having to witness such a terrible ordeal. And unfortunately, for some, they barely had the chance to experience the world in a whole new dimension; where life is carefree despite how poor some may be.

I feel the pain and the sorrow. Though I am in a country so far away, I am deeply hurt by their actions. The fact that this problem has been ongoing for a long time which I believe it was since the 1960s. Maybe back then the people were not as educated as the people now. The question is, has anyone been taught that holocausts are inhuman? For whatever reason behind it, be it the land invasions, the powerful allies, the corrupted religious beliefs, it makes full sense that killing the innocent is completely cold; even without thinking.

I can go on and on. So far I have not found the word to express this feeling. Insurmountable pain and sadness. Ultimately, I feel terribly sorry for them.

May God provide security and shelter for those who are constantly running away from the guns. May God save innocent civilians from any mishap and increase their chance of living. May God protect them from the never ending killings. And ultimately, may God enlighten the wrong, show them the light and bring peace to the world; for the good cause of mankind.

Amin.
