And so, Season 8 of American Idol is soon coming to an end. Although it isn't the two I predicted to be fighting (vocally) against each other in the finale. I was actually kinda bumped that Danny Gokey got booted out last week. Everyone in my family were rooting for Adam and Danny to proceed on but, oh well! Nevertheless, the performance Danny delivered at the end of the results show was spectacular.
Danny's performance is nowhere near the other two (Okay, maybe Adam is slightly better). I love it each time he deliver a slow ballad. Though he is a million miles aways from where I am, I could really sense the emotion. He will always bring his late wife into the whole picture. Though it is not visible, it CAN be felt. And that is hard to achieve as many would sing it for the sake of singing it. So kudos to Danny for that!
That aside, and it is now time for .....

Adam Lambert will be battling it out with Kris Allen tomorrow (Singapore time) and I am really looking forward to it! What is in store is any body's guess!
But if were to really digress (on the contrary), Kris would probably be the worst American Idol out of the other 7 if he were to win. Face it, his fans are all voting for him based on his looks and maybe partly talent. Though he has been consistent in his performance, just how much can he go out and establish himself as an artist? Versatility is not his forte and hence, he won the audience's heart based on the arrangement of the song (Sheesh! Big deal!). The four judges are there for a reason. I strongly feel whatever that comes out from their mouths are highly influential. And Kris' fans are generally young girls (if you actually caught the clip where he went back to his hometown) raging in naivety. How can his votes not soar?
Try getting Kris to sing the current song that is playing on my blog. I can assure you that when he reaches those incredibly high notes, he will probably run short and go flat. He sings in tune WITHIN his comfortable voice but not when he decides to bring it higher (EVEN his lower range melody gets sharp!). Watch his past performances and you will not enjoy it as much as you think you would. Don't bother listening to the studio recording because it is editable.
So with that, I am rooting Adam Lambert for the win. This guy brings his performance to levels that no one imagined! It must be the frequent 'French-kissing' he's been doing I guess. Hahaha! Nonetheless, whether he is bisexual or gay, he is in it to win it. We had the first African-American President. So why not another first Idol to be bisexual/gay? Who cares about his sexual preferences! His talent is just out of this world. Just that after a while, I tend to get sick listening to him screaming those high-pitched notes. I can make do with that than to see Kris win. Hahaha!

Be sure to tune in to Channel 5 tomorrow to catch the performance show!
Cheers!
