perhaps the best

The name is Khairul. Would do fine with Khai or Kerol [kay-roll] - with proper pronunciation that is.

May have caused a traumatic experience to the nurses who were there when I graced the world on the 14th of June, 21 years ago.

I reside at the great eastern side of Singapore. At an estate named after a water containment facility. Go figure!

A left-hander. However, I function more like a right. And sometimes left of course.

Owns a Class 3 driving licence.

Have been playing the saxophone for 8 years. Currently a Baritone Saxophonist in the Philharmonic Youth Winds.

Being and socialising with people occupy whatever free time I might have.

Boredom is sadly pathetic - would be just staring at my ceiling.

And recently, graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where I pursued a diploma in Arts Management, majoring in Performing Arts.

OVERDUE POST #2: NINA'S BIRTHDAY
6:22 PM

My Tuesday and Thursday afternoon will always suck. I tend to be a "good-boy" and head home straight after school. And once I am home, I will get all bored. Frequent short naps. Lying on the couch watching whatever show that is on air. All these will lead to me eating tonnes of junk food. Haha! Ultimate 'lepak' session.

I have already burnt three quarters of my afternoon doing aimless stuff. Hence, which led to this entry.

Let's rewind way back to the 4th of March 2009.
Celebrated Nina's birthday. But it was not just any other ordinary celebration. It was a surprise birthday celebration. Pre-celebration preparation was uncalled for as we did not realise that her birthday was in two days time.

We were sourcing out ways to contact her siblings and Abang. In part of not trying to raise any suspicion, we resorted to Facebook. Wonders of technology! Exchanged contacts and the master plan got drafted out. While she was out with the family to have dinner, we crashed her place.

Maisara liaised with the brother via mobile, giving us updates of their whereabouts. As soon as we got the message that they are on their way back home, we rushed up to her room and waited. Imagine ALL 14 OF US in one room. It was stuffy. We wanted to push the windows wide open and at least switch on the fan, but it would be too obvious for her to notice. So, we had to endure the heat and sweat. And with all 14 of us in the room, we had to observe silence. Which we are not good at! HAHA!

Finally, Nina and family got home. We had to wait for another 5 minutes before she entered her room. Our initial plan was that the moment she enter her room, someone will switch on the lights and start singing her a birthday song IN A ZOMBIE-LIKE TONE.

She finally entered her room, and was shocked to see us. And trust me, the rest of us who were in the room were shocked too! She pushed the door so hard and fast that we did not see it coming! Funniest moment ever! The plan to surprise her turned against us and we got the shock of our lives. Haha!

Headed down to her living room and the rest after it was with awesome company. Talked all night. Complemented with pizza, just could not get better. So much so that after every conversation, it leads itself to another topic without us noticing it!

Towards the end, someone came up with the idea to this.

Family #1: Nina and Khai
Family #2: Su'aidah and Ogy
Family #3: Fidah and Fauzi

For the record, none of the above are real couples. We just wanted to see how it will be like if any one of us were to get married and have one kid. And oh, that cute little kid clinging on to Elmo is Nina's younger sister. She calls me Abang Elmo for some weird reason. Hmmm..... Haha!

These are the small things that bind us all together. And I am confident that these are the people who I will be seeing for the rest of my life (Not forgetting those who are not in the picture above too!).

Cheers to our friendship!

That is all for now.
And remember the word of the day people: SUJI! (inside joke)
Hahaha!

Ciao!
