To Mom:I know you might not read this but all I would like to say is that I have always loved you and never for once have I changed that feeling. You are seriously the best. Your cooking is out of this world! Your cute funny jokes and contagious laughter is just heart-warming. You're my Mom, my best friend and someone that I always look up to. Sometimes, it is funny how I talk to you like how I talk to my friends, because you made it all comfortable for us siblings to talk to you in the teenage-y kind of way. No doubt that I respect you with all my being. Hanging out in your room exchanging thoughts or be it just watching the telly makes me feel so much better whenever I have a heavy cloud hovering above me.
Thank you for all the things you have done for me (or us siblings for that matter) and we promise you to study hard, get a good job and allow you and Abah have an easy life in future. Insya'Allah.HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!Love,
Anwar
To Farah:Unfortunately, both of them are not in Singapore. Both parents plus little sister are at our place in Malacca, Malaysia. They are returning tomorrow. So, as a belated present from me to my Mom, I will make it a point to wake up early tomorrow and clean the whole house. Yup! Cleaning up my room, mopping the whole living room, making her kitchen spotless and yeah, the list goes on.
Here I am wishing you a smashing 14th birthday! It feels like yesterday that you were in my arms crying. 14 years flashed by in an instant and it is good to see how much you have grown. Just remember what I have been telling you all these while. Knowing the difference between what is right and what is wrong. I trust that you know the difference. Should there be anything that you would like to talk about (eg. boy problems *winks*), just know that I am always here to hear you out.
Study hard little sister!
And may you always be that irritating little sister I like teasing!
Love you!Your irritating brother,
Abang Anwar
You see, each time she's away from Singapore, we (the brothers) would leave the house in an utter mess. And when she return days after, she will question why the house is in a mess or why the kitchen sink is filled with unwashed dishes. Then we would feel bad because she will have to clean it all up despite her being tired. Cleaning the entire house is the least I could do since I am not doing anything special for her this year.
So here goes nothing!
Wishing all mothers a Happy Mother's Day!
Cheers!
