Surprised to see me updating my blog? Haha! I thought I'd update. Partly because it is for archiving purposes. I'm suppose to be sleeping but I figured after today, if I don't do it now, I'll lose the muse to blog and this entry will start collecting dust in my folder.
I'd consider today (changed for archiving purposes) a rather lucky day for me. First, I managed to find a replacement for work ONLY because there was suppose to be Chingay Parade rehearsal but was canceled at the very last minute. Out of utter randomness, I text Nad and asked if she had an extra ticket available. Lady Luck was on my side and it was available still!
Oh! If you're wondering what performance this ticket is to, take a look at the picture below. Well, it is self-explanatory.

Trust me, I was so darn excited to see him live. In 20 years of my life, I have never met anyone famous right in front of me. Kris Allen's the first. If you have experienced it, you would know what I'm talking about. Seeing him appear from backstage had me cheering till my voice hurts. Haha!
From my status on Facebook "Of what was behind the TV screen and Youtube, became reality". Being an avid fan of American Idol, it was sort of a dream come true.
One more interesting fast fact: It was at Zirca (former Ministry of Sound if I am not wrong) and truth is, it was my virgin visit to a club. Through the heavily guarded doors, the atmosphere got better and better. It was awesome, really (noticed I have not gotten into his performance). Kiasu mah! Haha!

Ignore the ugly face. Haha! We managed to enter the club say an hour before the commencement of Kris' performance, and being there early, we also managed to stand quite near to the stage - I wouldn't say it was far.

Having Kris standing only a few feet away from me, I managed to capture awesome pictures (credits to Nad's Sony DSLR camera). Throughout the entire performance, I was snapping pictures hoping to capture a few good ones. I was not all that geeky, of concentrating only on taking pictures, but I went wild singing to his songs and moving to the beat too.
He sang familiar songs that had the crowd go wild (eg. 'Man in the Mirror', 'Heartless', 'Falling Slowly', 'Red Guitar' and my favourite 'Living Like We're Dying').
After the gig had ended, both of us headed out of the club to check out his limo. Man would I love to be in it and take a cruise around Singapore. Nad wanted to wait for Kris to appear hoping that he would autograph his album. Had a mini conversation with the limo driver and ....... Hahaha! Whatever happened after that is just between me and Nad.
In short, I had a BLAST watching Kris Allen sing. And of course, it would not have been possible without Nad's extra ticket. Shout out to Nad, THANK YOU!
Before I end this entry, I'm gonna leave a few pictures that I took and edited.

And I love the picture above the most!
I have wanted to take up photography as a hobby but just can't afford the equipment. Mostly because I have directed my extra source of income into my driving lessons. I feel that I have a gift but just don't have the avenue to further nurture it, you know?
I'm done and I better get some sleep. 9:00AM class later on. Bummer! :)
Cheers!
