Yup, the month of April is going to be a hell month for me.

It is the last lap before I reach the 'graduation-line'. Approximately 4 more weeks to go and I am officially leaving AFAN (again, in reverse order) for good. For now, FYP-material projects are knocking on my door, one by one. Datelines and submissions. I sense I'll somehow suffer from amnesia and not know how it feels like to be free, having freedom in the grasp of my hands. Good to know that it will only be temporary. I'd kill myself if I don't pamper myself enough after I am done with all these. Haha! Here is a full glimpse of what that constitutes to hell month:

A quick one before I hit the sack. Might be an all-over-the-place entry.

Anyway, Year 3 commences today (in less than 12 hours) and please tell me why the heck I am up at this time updating my blog. Had a rather short day and the moment I got home from dinner with family, the cold hard floor lured me down and I slept within minutes, with Harry Potter [Goblet of Fire] watching me instead! Haha!

Freezing, I realised I was not on my bed. So got up and felt wide-awake and hence, the reason why I am awake still.

Now that holidays are long gone (turning back into reality once more), I am (I think) on my full gear and will give my best (I hope) in this final year. Reason being that I have to pull my GPA back up to above 3.2 (at least) before I graduate (personal achievement).

Timetable's long out and trust me, I will be sucked out of my social life like the black hole. Moving faster than the speed of light.

School shall be top priority. Tutoring will be the other but with the timetable I currently have, I would need to seek advice. Then comes work - I have planned to work at least 4 times a week. I know I am slowly killing myself with the unnecessary, but I am starting to like working at ______. The people there are great and I just can't bear to leave. Plus, I am a part-timer = I'll be able to set the days I can work.

Finally, my social life - with both family and friends. Honestly, I kinda miss hanging out with my Mom (and the others of course) like we used to. In her room, chatting and watching the telly. Since the day I started working, these hangout sessions have been cut down by 80%! Worse than recession! Anyway, family is priority afterall. Oh wait, and friends too *cheers*

Adding on, I will be playing for some wedding gig this Sunday at Shang-Ri La hotel with Phil Winds. Gotten an update from the Saxes there that I can play for their September concert too. So, that is another issue. The rehearsal dates are out and man, I don't see any ME time anywhere in my monthly schedule. Haha! Not forgetting Phil Youth will resume on 16th August - preparing for our end-of-year concert, which I am guessing, will be another energy-zapping concert. The pieces are heavy like siao! But it's music making, which I love.


To conclude this entry, I have pretty much figured right from the start that all I need is time management. I will definitely need guidance along the way since time management has never been my forte.

I have finally registered for my Year 3 Semester 1 modules. Gotten the timetable and here it is...

Yup, I have no school on Thursdays (probably gonna utilize that day for work). I will come up with a more rigid timetable consisting of school, work, tutoring and other involvements for me to follow when school resumes.

Looking at the other side of it, I am embarking my Year 3 soon. It felt only yesterday that I embarked my Year 1 in NAFA. All that is on my mind now is to get school over and done with, and then proceed on to serve my country. Hoping that while doing so, I am able to live my dreams and do what I love to do. Crossing my fingers that I will get "thrown" into the army and from there, audition for SAF Band. The rest I will let nature take its course. I really want this to be part of my life.

The late Michael Jackson once said, "They say the sky's the limit, and to me that's really true". And speaking of him, rest in peace dude. The greatest entertainer that ever walked on this face of the Earth, the King of Pop.

I better get going. Need some sleep.

Next was East Coast Park's BBQ Chicken Wing (w/ Fauzi, Idham and Nina) <-- FINALLY!

I was doing some colouring in the living room when Dad came over and asked,
"My son, what course are you in exactly?"

No, I have not gone mad. Neither am I in a fashion design course.

This is one out of the many components in a production file. A production file is like a bible to the stage manager - anything that is important towards a production will be filed into the file. And trust me, it can get pretty thick. I reckon it is thicker than your Accounting textbook! One of the component is costume. So as part of making it look like there are actually designs in the production file, we are required to design our own based on the play the lecturer gave us.

And so, I have finally completed the production file! It gave me quite a bad headache days prior to submission. But the satisfaction for completing it is amazing. That means one huge load off my shoulders.

One Contract Law assignment to tackle, and I have cleared my pile!
And then, it's study time.


It is getting pretty late now. I better hit the sack.

I was thinking of what to blog yesterday and it was not till Nina reminded me of an entry that I promised to blog about, which I had totally forgotten about it. It kept me busy the whole entire day to the point that I sacrificed eating dinner outside with my family in the evening just to finish the video. Windows Movie Maker was being an ass and hence, it took me longer than I expected.

Well anyway, let's get going shall we?

Play & Performance is one the modules I am currently taking. It is a module where they dip us into the many types of theater performances and how it came about; and stuff like that. So, there was this particular group project that required us to do an adaptation movie/play based on any literature text written by William Shakespeare. Of course there is the ever-so-famous "Romeo and Juliet", "The Midsummer Night's Dream", "King Lear" and "Othello" just to name a few, but my group (consisting of Rene, Sylvia and myself) settled down on "The Taming of the Shrew". I will dismiss the idea of explaining the whole story. Click on the link.

We adapted the original story and did a loose adaptation of it. Tweaking it a little here and there, just to make it a whole lot more interesting.

Short story short - There live two sisters. Their father died in the later part of the story and his last wish was to see the elder sister (the shrew, Katharina) get married first. I, Lucentio, who is in love with the younger sister (Bianca), wishes to tie the knot as soon as possible. But with the father's last wish, it took longer for the shrew to get a life partner and get married - because it seemed that no one notices her as she always kept herself at home. In desperation to tie the knot with the younger sister, I got married to the shrew. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with Katharina's Plain Jane look and her simple conception towards life. Feeling threatened by Bianca, I got married to her.

Fast forward >>>>>> Katharina knew about the "scandal" but knowing that it was her one and only sister she had, Katharina forgives her.

Fast forward >>>>>> Lucentio was on his way to the sisters' place to set things straight and hoped that the sisters would reconcile before they break all ties BUT ....... (Nyeahahaha! Go figure!)

So on March 13th, we got together to do some filming. I shall leave the rest of the entry for pictures.
